Universal Orlando Resort – Travel Guide (Part VI, Seuss Landing)

Now we are back to the Port of Entry of IOA, but we must continue counterclockwise to the areas we rushed through on our way to see Harry Potter this morning.  We next encounter Universal Studios Florida Resort, Islands of Adventure (IOA), “Seuss Landing.”  There’s a merry-go-round, some food places, a playground, and a few rides.

The Cat in the Hat – 10 minutes

This is a cute ride, especially for kids.  But the line was entirely too long when we went, and it was definitely not worth it.  Anything more than 10 minutes is probably sufficient reason to just skip it and move on.

High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride – 25 minutes

This is a cute ride, and takes you on an overhead tour of the entire Seuss Landing area, including going into and through some of the shops and buildings.  Anything over 25 minutes is probably a good reason to skip it, but less than 25 minutes and it is worth it.  If you happen to be ahead of schedule, this might be the time to use some of the buffer time if the wait is between 25 and 45 minutes.  But it’s your call, obviously.  Not a super exciting ride, but a cute and relaxing little tour.  Kids will enjoy it.
