Universal Orlando Resort – Travel Guide (Part IX, Production Central)

For this second theme park, Universal Studios Florida Resort’s “Universal Studios Florida,” we are going to move around the park in a clockwise direction, starting with Production Central.

Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket – 30 minutes

This is another coaster and, from what I understand, it is a good one.  It’s new, so the wait is likely pretty long.  We skipped it so, without any personal knowledge, I can only guess at the worthiness of the ride.  To me, I’m not sure any coaster is worth more than a 30 minute wait, and if I am short on time, coasters are the first thing on my list to be skipped.

Shrek 4D – 30 minutes

This is a movie, which lasts about 15 minutes.  In the recent tradition of theme parks, it’s a 3-D movie (glasses and all) with a 4th dimension of moving seats and other physical affects incorporated into the theatre to enhance the audience.  As with most modern theme park attractions, there is also a small entertainment component to the actual line, as well as a pre-show component as well.
